Harlan Voss
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Salario was built to make salary, paycheck, and compensation calculators accessible without paywalls or signup walls. The goal is simple: quantitative claims should name their source, calculators should implement the published formula directly, and pages should show when they were last reviewed.

Editorial standards
Salario content aims to follow four standards:
- Primary sourcing. Statistics should cite the underlying data source by name and date; modeled figures should be labeled as estimates.
- Calculator math review. Calculator formulas are checked against worked reference examples, and several calculators have automated test scripts.
- Source updates. When source data changes, pages are updated in periodic reviews and show a review date.
- No advice. Salario is an information and calculation site. For decisions specific to your situation, work with a qualified professional.
